Spawned in Portland, Oregon, HULDER is the solo endeavor of Belgian-born The Inquisitor (Bleeder), whose strong ties to her homeland invoked the spirit of the old for this offering. "Ascending the Raven Stone" features three brazen hymns of dark Medieval black metal with torturous and malign intent--rich with themes of animalistic bloodlust and Belgian folklore--in the style of the early second wave forbears such as Emperor, Bathory, and Summoning.
